Cable TV to PC requirements.
These things are needed to view all of the channels:
Windows Media Player, WinAmp, VLC, Real Player. All of these programs need to have these downloads available on your computer in order for your computer to access the programs. If you have a Linux System on your computer, You can download M Player and it will be enough to play all of the programs. There are a few programs that have a specific download feature to them, in addition to the players mentioned above. I will give a brief description of which players are needed for these programs.

In order for this to work effectively, you should have this burned to your computer's firewall.
Miro Player
Allows you to view internet video. Download Video; and watch them full screen, one after the other. Version 0.9.8.1 changes to Democracy Player; adds Veoh.com as a search engine.
DVD Flick. Allows you to store on your computer and turn them into a DVD, that will play back on Your DVD Player, Media Center, or Home Cinema Set
PC Show Buzz. Has 2800 channels! Uses Window Media Player 9 or above.
PP Mate. Buffers fast; You can record your own streams with it with one click of a button. Newly released Movies are being shared across this P2P network.
TVU Player: Video Player. Lets you view a variety of free TV stations that are broadcasted over the internet(no TV card required)
Joost:Offers a range of streaming content that can be selected and viewed from a TV like interface; looks like a traditional tv.
Bablegum The same as Joost. More sport channels, and more international channels, than Joost. Bablegum requires a login. After installing this program and running it for the first time a login screen will appear. Creating an account is free.
Free Net TV: International Channels; Needs a broadband connection. Also needs Adobe Reader and Adobe Player to play all the channels.
JLC Internet TV
It is a P2P internet satellite/cable type of system. Peers broadcast a station of their choice. 2500 channels to offer; Warning!!! There is some free adult content on this program, that would not be suitable for children and minors.
